Home Care Package Fees and Charges
Bannister In Home Care (BIHC) Home Care Package Fees and Charges – effective 01 July 2024
Prices (hourly rates) included in this Agreement may increase in accordance with the Consumer Price
Index (CPI), determinations in relation to award rates and conditions or the National Minimum Wage by the Fair Work Commission or other economic factors.
Other Potential costs:
In service travel
$ 1.95 per km
Brokerage/Payment of invoices and reimbursements
5% (of expense)
Capped at $50 per invoice
In Home Nursing Services - Quote on Request
Clinical Consultation for level 3 and 4 HCP clients will be charged to your package on commencement of package and 6 monthly, earlier if required. Allowance for this will be included in your budget
Allied Health Services

Home Maintenance
BIHC will arrange services to meet your requirements. A quote will be provided prior to service. You may engage your own supplier of these services however BIHC must be provided with a quote for approval PRIOR to service - please refer to Annexure 4 for “inclusions and exclusions”

Consumer choice
Consumers are welcome to source their own provider of Nursing, Allied Health and Home Maintenance services – however prior approval of BIHC Care Co-ordinator MUST be obtained PRIOR to service.
This is to ensure that the provider meets quality standards, the services are in accordance with your Care Plan and are assessed in relation to meeting your needs and delivering value for money.
Price increases
Prices (hourly rates expressed in $ per hour) included in this Agreement may increase in accordance with the Consumer Price Index (CPI), determinations in relation to award rates and conditions or the National Minimum Wage by the Fair Work Commission or other economic factors.
When this occurs, we have responsibility to –
Notify you of the change.
Explain the reason/s for the change.
Gain your agreement to the change.
We will do this by
Contacting you by your preferred method (email, post or other)
Advising you in writing of the change and the reason/s
Answer any questions that you may have.
Request that you sign and return an agreement to the change which will become an attachment to this Service Agreement.
Occupational Therapist
Your Home Care Package subsidy may be used to purchase goods or equipment that will assist you in living your best daily life. These may be items such as walkers, wheelchairs, etc. The subsidy may also cover home maintenance and modifications required to ensure your safety in the home.
In these instances, it is likely that an Occupational Therapist will be required to conduct an assessment of you, and perhaps your home to determine the best goods or equipment to meet your needs and ensure your safety. The Occupational Therapist will provide a comprehensive report which will inform your Care Plan.
The cost of the Occupational Therapist will be discussed with you prior to the assessment and will be deducted from your budget once agreed.
